ΕRT Music Ensembles’ concert in hospitals’ courtyard
Reliable medicines, effective vaccine; until a viable solution is found, music can be a powerful tool against Covid-19.
A small group of the Music Ensembles of ERT, the Hellenic State Broadcaster, held a unique concert in the courtyard of “Atticon” Hospital. Directed by the conductor Giorgos Avramidis, eight musicians of ERT Contemporary Music Orchestra presented a special program with compositions of great Greek composers Manos Hatzidakis and Mikis Theodorakis.
This is the way ERT chose to express its gratitude to the “heroes behind the masks”, the doctors and the nurses of the National Health System, as well as to send a message of sympathy to those who fight to recover from the virus.
The same concert was presented on Monday in the courtyard of “Evangelismos” Hospital; ERT is planning to hold similar happenings in other hospitals of Greece in the near future.
